Pacific Awnings is the largest retailer of weather protection and security products on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The company was started in 1991 and has been serving residential and commercial customers throughout Vancouver Island as well as nearby islands. We have the largest showroom on the Island with many operational products on display. Our products are supplied by industry leading manufacturers and range from simple window and door awnings, motorized retractable awnings to completely rainproof aluminum pergola systems, fixed patio covers, railings, retractable screens, and roll shutters.
Our knowledgeable sales team is experienced in finding the best solution to each unique situation or problem and can recommend several options for each customer. Our professional installation team is experienced in not just installing but also servicing our products. Many of our products are exclusive to our company on Vancouver Island. Precision magnets
Our patented MagnaTrack system is a unique self-tensioning design that utilizes opposing polarity dual magnetic pull from Neodymium magnets interlocked into the track housing as well as the adjustable track insert for a constant secure hold. MagnaTrack can be used in new construction as a recessed system or retrofitted for existing residential applications and commercial application.
The system is able to overcome the ineffectiveness of a fixed track (permanently secured by fasteners) and zipper systems by allowing the screen to expand while under wind pressure, separating the magnets. When pressure subsides, the magnetic pull will tension the screen while allowing for expansion and contraction of the screen as well as a screen/vinyl window insert combination during deployment of the screen and adjust accordingly to avoid hang up or jamming like a fixed track system.
